"We've had
our own Painting and Decorating Business for
twenty years and Karen was a stay at home mum. The
business created financial pressures and
restricted family time and at 40 years of age we
felt like we'd hit a brick wall, it didn't matter
how hard we worked we couldn't move on. Despite
being disillusioned we weren't actively looking
when the opportunity found us but the prospect of
time freedom and unlimited income got us very
excited! We started part time
and quickly developed an income that amazed
us! We both got fantastic product results
& realised that as long as we were prepared to
go to work and learn, with the incredible support,
training and business systems we couldn't
fail.
Thank you B.I.G & Herbalife!

Work From
Home Bournemouth
Plan or Potter?
Should you create a detailed careers plan to achieve success at working from
home, or is it better to just see where life takes you? Does failing to plan really mean planning to fail?
Know yourself - before creating a rigid career plan it might be better to gain some experience of working life and understanding of your character. To find your dream career you need a very clear vision. Write down your vision in clear language, with some emotional words thrown in, and know every detail of what you want.
Its important to really gain an understanding of what really interests you and gets you going, before trying to figure out your
vision. Michael Bayley, professional life and career coach for Find Your Way Coaching agrees ‘if people tell me they haven’t got a clue about what they want to do, I always tell them, ‘get a clear idea
about your interests, inside and outside of work, and determine what really motivates you, gets you out of bed in the morning’ Not money, your ideal career should be about much more. I ask clients ‘ what if you were locked in a book shop for a weekend, what section would you gravitate towards?’ I ask them to revisit interests they had as a child, and ask what fascinated
them. Fredo Huxley-Johnston, who now works in events management, imposed a rigid career plan on himself. ‘When I applied for university, I was absolutely certain I wanted a career in law. Not long into my degree I began to struggle. I just wasn’t interested in the subject matter, but I’d made this plan so it was difficult to back out. I should have changed courses, but I didn’t. I’m please I got my degree, but I don’t work in law now, I’m still not sure I’m in the right career, how I thought I knew in my early twenties I don’t know. Work experience is a good way to experience first hand the work you think you want to do. People can spend time training only to find that doing the work day to day is not really their thing. Even if it turns out not to be what you hoped for, it is a good way to get a reality check, narrow down options and find direction. Work experience can also offer valuable CV material. Many people we place work in a different field later on, but what it shows on their CV is a certain competency and willingness to adapt. Usually the references help towards their career goals. Temporary work is another useful way to check out different opportunities. Take chances, make chances, Its all about finding the right match, don’t apply and react to vacancies, try new things, use the experiences to focus your job hunt, or self employment choices. Taking action is the key to a great life and great career.
Bournemouth town centre has a huge array of shops with lots of new names joining the high street, such as Zara, Karen Millen and H & M. It really is a chic place to shop with the quaint boutiques of Westover Road which is a tree-lined boulevard. The shopping precinct has no cars so you can literally shop in peace, more and more shops open up as you wander through such as, Beales, which started over 125 years ago and Marks and Spencers which is going to become the first ’green’ Marks and Spencers. There are lots of gardens with benches and wonderful courtyards making it a shopping experience to remember. There are numerous places to have a sit down for either a beverage or to enjoy lunch in the wonderful surroundings, food and drink to fit with every budget! The arcade which is the most elegant part of Bournemouth, Westbourne, has a fascinating array of boutiques with gargoyles looking down on you from the ceiling, these were put there with the original design in 1884. Two of the most prestigious places to stop for coffee is Basilica or the Waffles Clay Café.
It is really nice to have a look around the area and Castlepoint is three miles from Bournemouth town centre.

which steps to take next and how to get started and
become a success working from home!
How could
I make a little extra money?
Families are facing the tightest squeeze since the Seventies. Debt in many middle-class areas has soared with many people owing more than £53,000 according to credit reference agency Experian. And the average family’s disposable income has fallen by £2,500 in a year. For many a second job might be the only answer. Here we explain how you can make ends meet.
Hire yourself out; Film Extra.
If you’ve always harboured a secret desire to be a movie star, then becoming a film extra could be a good start. Producers need real people to be ‘back ground’ and give scenes and photos credibility, as Ricky Gervais did in his television comedy series extras.
You can sign up online with agencies, some specialise in people with real-life skills, for example 2020casting.com has many military extras on its books. You can earn upwards of £80 a day depending on the type of shoot. Expenses may be paid on top of this.
Agencies take a mix of upfront fees and/or commission. For example The Casting Suite charges new extra £97, which includes a free photo shoot, but takes no commission for the first year. The fee drops to £50 a year for future years instead of commission. The Casting Collective has no upfront fee, but takes approximately £65 from the first booking and 15pc commission thereafter.
Tutoring.
If you have a little spare time and a quiet room in your house, you could become a tutor. You can teach anything from French to poker skills depending on your expertise. You could typically earn up to £25 an hour as a tutor and websites such as local tutor.co.uk let you advertise your skills. You can advertise on these sites free. You can also advertise tutoring skills on some websites. Alternatively, local papers and school or church hall notice boards are a good place to advertise tutoring.
Freelancing.
According to online skills marketplace more than a third of its 7,000 plus registered free-lance providers also have a full time job. Some websites allow you to list your skills and hourly rate. Looking at what freelancers with similar skills are charging will give you a guide. The amount you earn depends on the demand for your skill and how much you charge. Currently, skills for hire range from IT to magicians. You could also try advertising in local papers and notice boards in church halls, supermarkets and newsagents.
Driving.
If you like driving, you could become a car delivery driver. Some firms use self-employed drivers to deliver fleet cars, or those going to auction up and down the country. Drivers are expected to fund the onward trip either to the next job or home. Alternatively it is worth contacting local auction houses or car dealers to see if you can provide your services on a freelance basis.
Home workers.
You can become a home worker selling anything from cosmetics to candles. Typically sales are made in a ‘party’ atmosphere with a host inviting friends over for drinks and a presentation of the items on sale, in return for discounted or free products. For example to become a Virgin Vie home party consultant costs from £120 for a starter pack of sales items. Consultants can choose to sell cosmetics and jewellery or homeware during parties. They receive 25pc of sales, and Virgin Vie claims the average party generates around £225 of sales - so £56.25 per party. Consultants can also sign up for incentive plans for cars and exotic holidays plus extra commission based on sales volumes. Tupperware parties are still going strong. Party reps buy a starter kit for £95 and earn between 22pc to 28pc commission on sales.
Alternatively Avon, the largest door to door cosmetic sales company with 170,000 UK representatives, has seen a surge in interest this year. Its Avon Ladies pay £15 to become a representative, taken in two tranches over the first two orders.
They have brochures and samples, which they sell door-to-door to their customers. As a consultant, you can make 20pc commission if you order £100 worth of stock. They can also become sales leaders, costing £25, allowing them to manage other representatives for a cut of their commission as well as continuing with their own sales.
Mystery Shoppers.
If you like shopping and eating out, then being a mystery shopper could net you a small amount of extra income and provide you with a night out or a few hours retail therapy. Some firms employ people to Mystery Shop for clients. You will be expected to buy items, take them back to review customer service and stock levels, or spend an evening in a particular restaurant or hotel to check the service, food or staff. A report on your findings must be written usually within 24 hours. The pay is low compared with other second jobs, at just £5-£10 a job, but expenses are paid and you can sometimes keep your purchase aswell.
Other earners.
If acting, selling or shopping are not your thing, you could consider becoming a dog walker or babysitter, for example. Dog walkers can earn around £10 an hour - more for weekends and bank holidays. Babysitters usually need childcare experience to register with agencies and you can expect to earn around £6-£7 per hour. Alternatively advertise your services on the internet or in local magazines or notice boards.
Renting out your Home.
It doesn’t matter what your home is like, it can still be a potential money earner.
Parking:
If you live within walking distance of a tube or train station, consider ranting out your driveway to a commuter. You can advertise this on the internet. You can earn anything from £50 per month up to £300 per month. Spaces in towns, secure parking and those close to public transport will command the highest rents. If you live near a busy venue such as Wimbledon Tennis Club, or a music festival, etc.., you could make good money parking several cars on your drive - only during the relevant events of course.
Star Quality.
Location agents are always on the lookout for new properties for films or for photo-shoots. And it doesn’t matter what type of property you live in. Photos of your property can be posted on websites for location managers to research. The amount you earn depends on the type of shoot. Magazine work can pay from £500 - £1000 a day while film and TV work can pay up to £3,000 a day. Agencies typically take 15pc plus vat commission, but will help you negotiate rates and provide paper-work. Your property needs to have good parking facilities and be big enough to accommodate a film crew or photographic team.
Rent a Room.
If you have a spare room, consider taking in a lodger. Under the Governments Rent-a-Room scheme you can earn up to £4,250 a year from a lodger before you have to pay tax. The downside of the scheme is that you cannot offset any expenses such as extra heating and water. Whether it is better to opt into the scheme or pay tax on the rental income less any expenses depends on your personal circumstances.
Hiring out your belongings.
Cars:
If you own a vintage or high performance car, you could hire it out for weddings or other functions. There’s even the possibility of hiring it to those who just want to drive a sports car for the week-end without owning one full-time. A Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet can be rented out for as much as £700 per day and even a Ford Fiesta would rent for £25 per day. Try advertising your car in local adverts and magazines, and papers. Don’t forget to tell your insurer what you are doing as you will probably have to pay an increased premium to cover any named drivers. Alternatively you could hire out your car to a friend as a car share for a monthly fee. Again, tell your insurer so that all drivers are named on the policy.
Other Belongings.
You don’t have to limit your rental offerings to cars. You could rent out a power washer, a designer handbag or an unused musical instrument. According to a survey by Gumtree occasional rentals are the second most popular way of making an extra income. You could expect to get £9-£10 a month for a violin.
Don’t forget the Taxman.
If you are earning extra income from doing another job, you will have to pay tax and National Insurance on this income. Unless your second job is taxed at source, you will have to complete a tax return. You should tell the taxman within three months of earning your extra income.
So you've decided
'I want a work from home', 'I want to be my own boss', 'I want to earn more money', I want to
take control of my future' . . . but you don't
know where to start?

We understand that
if you are visiting this Work From Home web-site you
have probably visited and entered your details on a few
Business Opportunity sites and have since been bombarded
with e-mails and telephone calls from people explaining
to you why you need to join their business opportunity. Sound familiar?
There are thousands
of, Work From Home, Earn Extra Income, Get Rich Quick
sites out there, the secret is to distinguish between
the scams and the genuine income opportunities that
could help you find financial freedom and a better
quality of life, working from home in the UK.
So how do you know
which opportunities are real and which are scams?
Here's a
quick list of things to look out for:
|
|
|
|
| |
1) Is there a viable product?
- Is
there a tangible, consumable, in demand product
that you will have access to. A product that has
a growing demand in today's market place and a
proven track record.
BEWARE OF DATA ENTRY & PIECE WORK
SCAMS!
2) Is there a solid Company behind
the product? - Publicly traded companies with 10
years+ of proven success is what you are looking
for. The opportunity to 'get in' on a 'ground
breaking', 'to good to be true' business
opportunity is often just that 'TOO GOOD TO BE
TRUE'. Companies who pitch like this are telling
you what they hope, think and pray might happen,
they are selling a dream, one that never comes
to fruition.
3) Will you get Trained and
Supported? - A great product and a solid
company is great, but, without the training and
support systems to help you learn and take
advantage, you still have
nothing.
4) Are people already making
money? -
If so, how
much? Can they prove it?
5) Is the Company / Opportunity
approved by the Direct Selling Association?
- The Direct
Selling Association (DSA) is the national trade
association of the leading firms that
manufacture and distribute goods and services
sold directly to consumers. More than 200
companies are members of the association,
including many well-known brand
names. |
|
| |
|
| |
The truth is
if you can find a company and opportunity that can
answer YES to the above 5 questions then you have found
something that can be successful and probably already
is, all you have to do then is educate yourself about
that opportunity and go to work!
With the
above information in mind, we now invite you to consider
